New Delhi, Sept 24: The BJP today sought the Centre's intervention in ensuring the safety of its offices in Tamil Nadu that have been allegedly attacked by DMK workers angry over remarks made by a former BJP MP against the state Chief Minister.

Party President Rajnath Singh spoke to Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil and apprised him over the attacks by DMK cadres on its district headquarters, party leader Ravi Shanker Prasad told reporters here.

The BJP President asked the Home Minister to "interfere" and ask the state administration to check the violent protests against its offices in the state.
