பாஜக எம்.எல்.ஏ கிஷன் ரெட்டியும் இதர பாஜக தலைவர்களும் ஆந்திர கவர்னரிடம் பத்மாவதி பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் வைஸ் சான்ஸலரை நீக்கும்படி கோரி மனு கொடுத்துள்ளனர்.
வீணா நோபல் தாஸ் என்ற இந்த வைஸ் சான்ஸலர் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் படிக்கும் மாணவர்களை கிறிஸ்துவ மதத்துக்கு மாறும்படி வற்புறுத்துகிறார். இவரால் கட்டாய மதமாற்றம் செய்யப்பட்ட ஒரு மாணவி மன அழுத்தத்தால், தற்கொலை செய்துகொண்டார். அந்த மாணவி எழுதிய தற்கொலை விளக்கக் கடிதம் பலகலைக்கழகத்தால் மூடி மறைக்கப்பட்டது.

பல்கலைக்கழகத்திலும் தெய்வம் என்று தாங்கள் நினைத்த்க்கொண்டிருப்பவற்றை விற்றுக்கொண்டிருக்கும் இந்த அசிங்கங்கள் பலகலைக்கழகத்தின் பொறுப்பிலிருந்து நீக்கப்படவேண்டும்.
BJP legislator Kishan Reddy submitted a memorandum to state Governor Rameshwar Thakur demanding removal of Veena Nobel Das as Vice Chancellor of the University as she is forcing Christian religious conversion in the University and also responsible for the death of a student. On Thursday several BJP leaders joined the MLA and submitted the events in writing. Speaking to reporters on this occasion Mr. Kishan Reddy said that since the appointment of Veena Nobel Das as Vice Chancellor she has been forcing the students directly and indirectly to convert to Christianity.
The Vice Chancellor went even to the extent of threatening the students with failure in the examinations if they did not convert. During this process a student named Uma Maheshwari a M.Sc. student belonging to Jammalamudu of Cuddapah district, who was forced to convert, committed suicide as she was unable to bear the mental agony caused by religious conversion. The Vice Chancellor has immediately confiscated and kept confidential the student's suicide note. BJP leaders Kishan Reddy, S Malla Reddy and Vijayanand claimed that the Governor promised to hold an inquiry on this issue.

Veena Nobel Das being successful in getting foreign funds to convert students in University, the Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy is trying to nominate her to legislative council under Governor's quota alleged the BJP leaders. The leaders requested the Governor not to nominate Veena Nobel Das under any circumstances as that would vitiate the social and communal harmony.
