LONDON: After a successful tour of the United States, Indian guru Swami Ramdev held a special yoga session in the House of Commons for British lawmakers and prominent citizens.

In his 30-minute class on Wednesday, Ramdev spoke about the scientific aspect of yoga, vegetarianism and other traditional Indian Vedic knowledge.

He will conduct a six-day yoga camp in Glasgow, Scotland from Thursday, which will be the largest yoga camp ever held in the UK.

He will have two more camps later - in London and Coventry.

AN INTERNATIONALLY renowned teacher will host a rare yoga camp at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry this August.

Swami Ramdev will host the Midlands' pranayam yoga camp from August 3 to 8.

He will teach physical and mental cleansing through the practice of pranayam - a series of breathing techniques and physical posture exercises developed as a part of the ancient Indian system of yoga.

Through a programme of six-day 'shivirs' (camps) Swami Ramdev will teach participants the finer points of yoga/pranayama with two sets of daily sessions sessions.

Morning sessions run from 6am to 8.30am and evening sessions run from 6pm to 8.30pm.
