Imam convicted of child abuse
A MUSLIM former minister who worked at Dovegate Prison has been found guilty of sexually assaulting two young boys.
Mohammed Hanif KhanMohammed Hanif Khan was convicted of the three separate sexual assault charges at Nottingham Crown Court following a lengthy trial.
Khan, 42, now living in Sheffield, committed the crimes against children in his care at a mosque in Stoke-on- Trent. He was arrested in October 2009.
The first Muslim minister to be appointed by HM Prison Service, Khan left HMP Dovegate in Marchington in 2008.
He has been remanded in custody pending sentencing.
