HINDUS around the country yesterday rounded up their Ramnaumi celebrations with prayers and food offerings.

At the Satyam Shivam Sundaram Mandir in Vatuwaqa, it was a special occasion for three partially-blind students who joined devotees.

Close to 30 members of the Vatuwaqa Prem Parchaar Mandali gathered at the temple yesterday to celebrate the birth of Lord Rama.

The celebration ended nine days of abstinence and prayers in one of the highlights of the Hindu religious calendar.
