கோஸ்ட்வீக்- கென்யா இந்து கவுன்ஸிலுக்கு புது தலைவர்

கென்யா இந்து கவுன்ஸிலின் தலைவராக தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ள பிரபுல் ஷா அவர்களுக்கு வாழ்த்து தெரிவிப்போம்.

கடந்த 30 வருடங்களாக செயல்பட்டு வரும் இந்து கவுன்ஸில் கென்யாவில் மக்களுக்கு இன மத பேதமின்றி சேவை புரிந்துவரும் இந்து நிறுவனங்களுக்கு மையமாக இருந்து வருகின்றது.

Hindu Council of Kenya established
at the coast some 30 years ago

Coastweek - - Shri Praful G.Shah has been re-elected as the Chairman of the Hindu Council of Kenya - Coast Branch at the Annual General Meeting held at the Shree Visa Oshwal Community Hall.

Chairmen, Hon. Secretaries and Trustees of the 24 affiliated institutions of the Council were invited to attend together with nominated Representatives.

Election of Chairman and other Office Bearers took place and Shri Praful G Shah will take over as head of the Coast Region's affiliated Hindu institutions comprising of over 6500 Hindu members.

Other Office Bearers elected include the Vice Chairman - Shri Dhirajlal Z.Shah, Hon. Secretary - Shri Prakash parmar, Asst. Secretary - Shri Rajesh Shukla, Treasurer - Shri Jayant Doshi, Asst. Treasurer - Shri Mahesh Varsani.

Committee members elected were : Shri Rashmi Patel, Shri Soryakant Bhagani, Shri Ashok Vora, Shri Kailesh Tailer, Shri Kishore Pattni, Shri Madhukant Shah, Shri Narinder Singh, Shri Santokh Singh Bhamrah, Shri Vinod Parmar, Shri Rajesh Pindolia.

The National Trustee is Shri Kishore Shah, Imm.Past Trustee is Shri Premchandbhai Shah and Imm.Past Chairman is Shri Narottambhai Khataw.

Hindu Council of Kenya at the coast was established some 30 years ago.

It is a non-political civil society organisation and an umbrella body of all Hindu affiliated institutions It is the most powerful organisation for Hindus in Kenya.

In the spirit of true Hinduism, it promotes one family spirit.

Its main object is to promote, support and organise such activities that encourage the advancement, spread and propogation of Hindu culture, philosophy, religion and environment.

It inculcates in each member the core human values of brotherhood, kindness to all and the welfare of all citizens emphasizing the need for every individual to accept and respect other religions.

The Council has always heeded any national calls for help and their famine relief operations to distribute food to the remote areas in the Coast has been highly appreciated by the authorities and they have been called upon to recite prayers on national days.

They have taken active interest in the social welfare of the citizens of Kenya and are represented at the Coast Interfaith Council of Clerics where they have joined hands with Christians and Muslims to eradicate and fight evils in the society.

The Council holds free medical camps in the rural and urban areas and also hosts visiting specialist doctors from overseas and organises medical lectures for the benefit of all citizens.

The Council recently hosted the revered Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and also the Minister of Overseas Affairs for Indian Citizens from India.
