மதானி விடுதலையானது கோவை குண்டுவெடிப்பில் சொந்தங்களை இழந்த குடும்பத்தினருக்கு கடும் கோபத்தை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

மதானி இது போல பொதுமக்கள் மீது இன்னும் அதிகமான தாக்குதல்களை நடத்தமாட்டான் என்பதற்கு என்ன உத்திரவாதம் என்று கோபம் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.

The families of victims who died in the serial blasts in coimbatore are angry. They say the court verdict on PDP leader Madhani is disappointing.

A mother's memory of an only son is fresh as ever, long after his death.

On that fateful day in Coimbatore, 15-year-old Ramesh had ventured out of his home in the Kempatti colony after he heard a loud noise.

But before he found out what had happened another blast killed him.

On every birth anniversary his mother has been buying new clothes for him and stacking them in her cupboard.

The 45-year-old housewife is yet to come to terms with the terrible reality.

Grief turns into anger
The court's acquittal of eight accused persons in the serial blasts case has turned grief into anger.

''They should have been given severe punishment. What guarantee is there that they will not repeat such crimes?,'' said Vijayalakshmi, Mother.

Not far away in the textile shop another life was cut short.

22-year-old Chitra was working in the shop when a bomb planted there exploded.

Chitra's mother went into a shell since that black day and her parents now struggle to make ends meet, with a meager monthly pension of 1500 rupees.

Her father says the judgment which found less than half of those accused guilty of criminal conspiracy is a big let down.

''How can we be satisfied? We have lost our only child. Now we have no one to comfort us,'' said Venkatraj, Father.

There were 56 others who were killed in the blasts and have left behind grieving families. Families that now expect suitable sentences for the guilty.
