DPI men vandalise PMK office in Tamil Nadu

Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, Aug 17: Suspected DPI volunteers vandalised Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) Office at Manjakuppam on the East Coast Road (ECR) near here this evening leading to tension in the district.

Police said DPI volunteers were en route to the Party Awakening Conference organised on the occasion of General Secretary Thol Thirumavalavan's birthday when they attacked the PMK office.

They also damaged several vehicles parked there. Hearing this, irate PMK volunteers went to the office leading to a free for all.

On information, a large contingent of police rushed to the spot and tried to pacify the warring groups.

Meanwhile, DPI and PMK men indulged in incidents of stone throwing and damaging police vehicles in various spots of the district leading to tension.
