நார்வே ஆப்கானிய அகதிகள் கிறிஸ்துவத்துக்கு மதம் மாறினர்

ஆப்கானிஸ்தானத்துக்கு திரும்பிப்போகச் சொல்லி நீதிமன்றம் கூறிவிட்டதால், திரும்பி ஆப்கானிஸ்தானத்துக்கு போகக்கூடாது என்று நார்வேயில் இருக்கும் ஆப்கானிய அகதிகள் கிறிஸ்துவத்துக்கு மதம் மாறினர். கிறிஸ்துவத்துக்கு மதம் மாறினால், ஆப்கானிஸ்தானத்தில் தாங்கள் கொல்லப்படுவோம் ஆகவே தங்களுக்கு நார்வே அடைக்கலம் அளிக்கவேண்டும் என்று கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர்.

Several of the Afghan refugees who were about to be sent back to their homeland, have baptismal certificates to show that they have converted to Christianity while in Norway.

The refugees in question have received an expulsion order, after their application for asylum in Norway has been turned down.
It is feared that those who have converted to Christianity may be in danger if they have to return to their predominantly Islamic homeland.

Head of the State Aliens Commission said on Saturday that there was no evidence that those who were to have been returned on Sunday had converted.

Several of the refugees have since produced their baptismal certificates.
