Naga militant camp busted

Guwahati: Police on Sunday busted a temporary camp of a Naga militant group in the Borlengri area in Karbi Anglong district along the Assam-Nagaland border. Five persons were arrested from the camp. police team, led by Bokajan SDPO Chitren Gogoi, raided the camp. The police team also seized five pistols, ammunition, a computer and other incriminating documents from the camp. However, the militant group was yet to be identified, the police sources said.
Rebels killed

Imphal: Assam Rifles personnel gunned down two militants in an encounter at Ithai Wapokpi in Bishnupur district on Sunday. Two pistols with 11 live rounds were found on them.
