89 கோடி ஊழல்: சிபிஎம் தலைவர் பினாரயி விஜயனிடம் சிபிஐ விசாரணை

எஸ்.என்.ஸி லவாலின் என்ற கம்பெனிக்கு பினாரயி விஜயன் 1996இல் மின்சார துறை மந்திரியாக இருந்தபோது பெரிய காண்டிராக்ட் கொடுத்ததில் நடந்த 89 கோடி ரூபாய் ஊழல் பற்றி சிபிஐ பினாரயி விஜயனை விசாரணை செய்துள்ளது.

SNC-Lavalin case: CBI questions Pinarayi Vijayan

Chennai, May 31: The CBI questioned Kerala CPI-M state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan on the controversial Rs 89 crore SNC-Lavalin scam, which rocked Kerala some time back.

CBI sources said Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar asked the CPI-M leader about details of the case here on May 18. However, they were tight-lipped on further details.

The issue involves a contract that the Kerala State Electricity Board, under Pinarayi Vijayan, who was electricity minister in 1996, awarded to SNC-Lavalin Inc, a Canadian company for renovation work on three of the state's hydel projects.
