Terrorists are trained to be Internet savvy

It is now almost compulsory for every terrorist to have an email id. At the training camps, an entire session is dedicated to browsing the Internet and sending emails.

There are also strict instructions that all items in the Inbox ought to be deleted and no trace of the communication should be found.

It is also compulsory that these persons should communicate in code language. Here is a transcript of what Riyazuddin Nasir had written four days before the twin blasts in Hyderabad.

The coded email was found in his Draft folder and it is said that he had forgotten to delete it, thus proving the age-old belief that every criminal leaves behind a clue.

The message reads -- Qayyum ka milo us se zaroor. rsn ka kuch hua. Plz plz dete raho apni warna, maze karte raho, hum bhi kub karte hain, ha ha ha ha ha.

Although it makes no sense, when read for the first time, investigators say that he is talking about a man called Qayyum.

He wants someone to meet Qayyum. He also asks a couple of questions in the email that was saved in his Draft folder on August 21 2007, four days before the twin blasts in Hyderabad.

During a narco-analysis test it was revealed that Nasir had planted the bomb at the Lumbini Park in Hyderabad on August 25, 2007.

According to investigations the words 'rsn' stands for ration. Arms and ammunition is often referred to as ration in the language of a terrorist.

The police are interpreting the email by saying that Nasir was seeking information on the supply of arms and ammunition. Towards the end of the sentence, he says please keep sending ammunition. You have fun and I shall too.

The mail which was being sent in the name of zaqmko11 to vhuthm400 also states, qayyumb ka band jara. Bulana hai to ab kya karna. Milna hai merku. Zaq k khatam hogae baad jo tha wo bhul gaya phir se isku he repeat karo. Puarane mait do karte raho..."

This language is slang and it means, "I am not able to contact Qayyum. What should I do to call him? I have to meet him."

The interesting question here is: Who is Quayyum and what is his role in this entire episode? The police think that Nasir was seeking arms and ammunition and wanted to get in touch with Quayyum in connection with the Hyderabad blasts.

However, the police will have to dig deeper as the entire email mentions supply of arms and ammunition and it could be highly impossible that he could have been seeking supply of material just four days prior to such a huge assignment.

The police think that he may have been trying to contact some of his men for a future assignment.

However, only after the email is completely decoded will the entire truth come out, the investigators say.
