Gorakhpur blasts: 10 injured, UP on high alert, Centre seeks report

Gorakhpur/ Lucknow, May 22: Uttar Pradesh has been put on a high alert following three bomb blasts that were triggered in the heart of Gorakhpur District around 7.15 p.m. today, injuring at least ten people.
Union Home Ministry has reportedly asked the State Government to give details about the blasts that rocked the city.
Meanwhile, bomb-defusing squad along with an investigative team have left for Gorakhpur.
The first blast took place near Baldev Plaza, the second near Golghar Crossing and the third at Jalkal Building.
According to reports, the bombs were kept inside lunch boxes in scooter and bicycle.
The injured have been admitted in a nearby hospital.
Additional District Magistrate P K Agarwal, however, denied any serious injuries.
Security has been beefed up along the Indo-Nepal border.
