பத்து நாளைக்குள் இந்தியாவை விட்டு அவர் வெளியேற்றப்படவில்லை என்றால் கலவரம் வெடிக்கும் என்று அறிவித்திருக்கிறார்கள்.
தஸ்லிமா இந்தியாவில் இருப்பது முஸ்லீம்களின் மத உணர்வை புண்படுத்துகிறது என்று அறிவித்திருக்கிறார்கள்.
பங்களாதேஷில் இந்துக்கள் எவ்வாறு முஸ்லீம் மதவெறியர்களால் கொல்லப்பட்டு இந்துக்களது கோவில்கள் உடைக்கப்பட்டு இந்துக்கள் அடக்குமுறைக்கு ஆளாக்கப்பட்டார்கள் என்பதை தனது எழுத்துக்களாலும் லஜ்ஜா என்ற நாவலாலும் ஆவணப்படுத்தியது பங்களாதேஷ் இந்திய முஸ்லீம் அடிப்படைவாதிகளுக்கு கோபத்தை ஏற்படுத்தியது என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

LUCKNOW: Nearly seven months after UP minister Haji Yakoob Qureshi raised a storm by announcing a reward on the heads of two Danish cartoonists for lampooning the Prophet, a little-known conservative Muslim group on Friday offered a Rs 5 lakh bounty for the head of controversial Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen.
President of the All India Ibtehad Council, Taqi Raza Khan ordered the elimination (qatal) of the exiled novelist. The decision, he said, had full approval of All India Muslim Personal Law Board (Jadid), a splinter group set up four years ago in Bareilly. Jadid means new.
Khan said he had declared a reward of Rs 5 lakh for anyone who killed the "notorious woman". He claimed a core body of the board comprising 150 ulema, lawyers, retired IPS officers, doctors and professors had already passed a resolution on Thursday to oust Nasreen from India. Khan enjoys wide support among the Barelvi sect and the issue is likely to generate heat in coming days, especially with assembly elections round the corner, observers said.
Would the decision be reconsidered? Only if "woh mafi mangey, apni sari kitabein jalaye, aur tauba kare (she apologises, burns her books and leaves)," Khan said.
What has Nasreen done to ruffle this body? "Yeh aurat behad badzuban hai, aur Shariat par hamla karti rahi hai (this woman has a vicious tongue and has been attacking the Shariat)," said Khan.
"We have been hearing that the Indian government is thinking of granting her citizenship. The idea is repugnant to all God-fearing Muslims.
If the government does not drive her out within 10 days, all hell will break lose."

WB Govt. delaying process of granting citizenship: Taslima
New Delhi, March. 12 (PTI): Firebrand Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen today made an impassioned plea to her "second home" India to grant her citizenship and blamed the government in West Bengal, her current residence in exile, of delaying the process.
"I have been banished from my country and living away from home for the last 12 years. I don't want to live in Europe any more," Taslima, who flew here last night from London to attend a publishers' convention, told PTI. "India is my second home.I have been granted a six-month visa but citizenship is being repeatedly refused to me," the author of works that have created controversies in Bangladesh, and India including 'Lajja' (shame) and autobiographical 'Amar Meyebela' (my girlhood days), said.
She blamed the West Bengal Government for "coming in the way of the Centre granting her citizenship status." "I need a recommendation letter from the West Bengal government before the Centre can consider my request for citizenship. They (WB Government) is not granting me the much-needed recommendation before I can call this country my home," said the women's rights activist who fled her country after fundamentalists, outraged at her progressive views, issued a fatwa against her.
"If I can't live in my own country, and if I have to stay close to home where I can speak my mother tongue, write in my own language, India is the second option. Where else will I go?" asked Taslima. The writer said she will soon make a fresh application to the Centre for citizenship.

மோடி அவர்கள் பிரதமர் ஆனால் வாலை சுருட்டிக் கொள்வார்கள் இந்த இஸ்லாமிஸ்டுகள். இவர்களால் தான் பாவம் அமைதியைகாக்கும் முஸ்லிம் மதத்திற்கு கெட்டபெயர்

I am not surprised by this.When AIMPLB representative told in Madras that she should be driven out writers and activists in Delhi protested.This sort of fatwa is not new.Tamil writers who signed a statement in support of bail for Madani may even support such a fatwa and dont be surprised if A.Marx writes that for blasphemey death sentence is an acceptable
punishment:).Many conservative muslims are critical of her but
are opposed to this sort of fatwa.
I think some fringe elements indulge in this type of stunt to
'prove' that they care more for Islam and its honor than others.
