Most Londoners blame Islam for the July 7 terrorist attacks, a new survey for the Evening Standard has found.

Some 35% of residents asked by YouGov said Islam was to blame to a great extent and 37% said to some extent.

Nearly a third of the 701 people asked said groups with fundamentalist Islamic agendas should be banned, regardless of whether they have links with terror.
