நர்ஸ்கள் பர்தா போடக்கூடாது - எகிப்து உத்தரவு

பல இஸ்லாமிய அமைப்புகள் பெண்கள் தங்கள் முகங்களை வெளிக்காட்டாத பர்தா அணியவேண்டும் என்று கோருவதால் நர்ஸ்ஸாக பணிபுரியும் பெண்கள் முகங்களை காட்டாத நிகாப் என்னும் பர்தாவை அணிகிறார்கள்.
பல நோயாளிகள் தனக்கு யார் என்ன மருந்துகொடுக்கிறார்கள் என்று தெரிந்துகொள்ளவேண்டும் என்று கோரியதால், எகிப்து மருத்துவ அமைச்சகம், முகத்தை காட்டாத நிகாப் பர்தாவை தடை செய்ய யோசித்துக்கொண்டு வருகிறது.

வேறு யாரேனும் முகத்தை காட்டாத நிகாப் பர்தாவை போட்டுக்கொண்டு வந்து விஷ ஊசி ஏற்றிவிட்டால் என்ன செய்வது என்பதால், நர்ஸ்கள் முகத்தை காட்டித்தான் ஆகவேண்டும் என்று இப்போது கோருகிறார்கள்.

EGYPT: CALL FOR UNIFIED UNIFORM TO AVOID VEILED NURSES

(ANSAmed) - CAIRO, NOVEMBER 16 - For the past three years the number of nurses wearing "niqab" a veil which covers the face, worn by some Muslim women, has been on the increase, prompting the Minister of Health and Population to impose a law that unifies the nurses uniform starting next February. According to Rose al Yousif magazine, this new phenomenon in nurses' dress emerged in governmental hospitals located in the Delta governates of Egypt. However, this new trend is stiring a lot of controversy. Some claim that niqab will prevent nurses from doing their job and it is the patient's right to see the face of the person who is giving him his medication at least for identifying purposes. It could be a man under the facial cover. Numerous nurses rush to wearing the niqab immediately after their hiring saying that their jobs require the using of their hands only and there is has nothing to do with showing their faces. Also, they claim that they faced no objections from the hospital's administration. "It's important that my nurse would look me in the face because humanitarianism in treatment is part of the patient's recovery," said one patient. "I find difficulty in differentiating between colleagues who cover their face at work," said one nurse who doesn't wear the veil.
