There has been a low intensity bomb blast in Gadkari auditorium in Thane, on the outskirts of Mumbai. Five people, including the watchman of the auditorium, have been injured.

The blast happened after a few people tried to pick up a bag that was kept in the parking lot, which is in the basement of the building.

The theatre was empty at the time of the blast. However, a Marathi play ''Aamhi Pachpute'' was going to be staged in half an hour.

This is the same play that was being staged in a Navi Mumbai auditorium, when a crude bomb was found last Saturday.
