நக்ஸலைட்டுகள் பங்களூருக்கு அருகே ஷிமோகாவில் கர்னாடகா டிரான்ஸ்போர்ட் கார்பரேஷன் பஸ்ஸை நிறுத்தி ஆட்களை இறக்கிவிட்டுவிட்டு பஸ்ஸை தீ வைத்து கொளுத்தினர்.

அவர்கள் ஊருக்கு பஸ் வசதி இல்லை என்று அரசாங்கத்திடம் கூற இது போல பஸ்ஸை கொளுத்தியிருப்பார்களோ என்னவோ தெரியவில்லை.

Naxals set bus ablaze near Bangalore

Bangalore, July 1: Armed Naxals on Sunday set a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus on fire near Shimoga, about 270 kms southwest of Bangalore.

After asking people on board the bus to get off, the naxals set the bus afire.

The bus was on Agumbe-Shringeri route heading towards Bangalore.

The incident happened about 110 km from Shimoga in the early hours today, police said.

The rebels ran away after setting the bus on fire. The Anti-Naxalite Force (ANF) and police that rushed to the spot arranged alternative transport for the stranded passengers.
