TEHRAN -- Iran has banned the national flag from flying at half-mast during periods of mourning in order to show respect for the writing of Allah's (God's) name on the flag.
The Iranian flag carries the words, "la ilaha illa Allah," the Arabic phrase meaning there is no god but Allah, between its green, white, and red stripes. It also carries the words, "Allah-o-Akbar" (God is Greatest).
"The Iranian flag carries 'Allah-o-Akbar' and 'la ilaha illa Allah.' In order to respect the sanctity of these terms, the flag should never be flown at half mast," Vice-President Parviz Davudi said in a directive to state organizations.
Under the rule of Pahlavi shahs who were ousted by the Islamic revolution in 1979, the national flag carried a sun and lion emblem in its middle white stripe, and no words.
However, it was redesigned following the revolution led by the late ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini to add the sacred words, and a tulip motif symbolizing God, the power of the state, and self-sacrifice.

இஸ்லாமின் இந்த தன்மையை முதலில் இஸ்லாமியர் அல்லாதோர் நன்கு தெரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டியது மிகவும் அவசியம்.அதற்கு எங்கும் போக வேண்டாம், குரானைஒருமுறை படியுங்கள் போதும்,தெளிவாகத் தெரிந்து விடும். வரிக்கு வரி பொறுமையை கடைபிடித்து படித்து நான் தெரிந்து கொண்டதைத்தான் சொல்கிறேன்.
அதே சமயத்தில், இஸ்லாமியர்களை இந்த விபரீதத்தை புரிந்து கொள்ள வைப்பது கடினம். அவர்கள் குரானை ஒருமுறை கவனமாய் படித்தால் போதும்,அது போதிக்கும் வன்முறை மனிதனை குலை நடுங்க வைத்து விடும். அமைதி மார்க்கம் என்று கூறிக் கொள்வது எவ்வளவு பெரிய பொய் என்பதையும் உணர்ந்து விடலாம். ஆனால் அப்படி துணிந்து,மனம் திறந்து படிப்பதைக் கூட அந்த 'ஆஃகிரத்' பயம் அவர்களைத் தடுத்து விடும். அதனால்தான் பொருள் புரியாத அரபு மொழியில் திரும்பத் திரும்ப 'ஓதுவார்கள்'. ஒரு வார்த்தைக்குக் கூட பொருள் தெரியாது. தெரிந்து கொள்ளவும் முயற்சி செய்ய மாட்டார்கள். ஏனெனில், குரான் மனிதன் எழுதிய புத்தகம் என்று அவர்கள் கருதுவதில்லை.

'அல்லா' 'முகம்மது' விற்கு 'ஜுப்ராயில் அலை இஸ்லாம்' எனும் வானவர் மூலம் அனுப்பிய அருட்கொடை என நம்பும் படியும்,கேள்வி கேட்டால் நரகம் கிட்டி விடும் என்று பயப்படும்படியும், சிறு பிராயம் முதல் அவர்கள் மூளையில் சலவை செய்யப்பட்டு மழுங்கடிக்கப் பட்டுள்ளார்கள்.
