Now, Hinduism classes in a US college

New York, Dec 7 (IANS) A college in Nevada is offering classes in Hinduism from the next academic session.

The Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) in Reno, northern Nevada, will offer day trips to a local Hindu temple in California apart from classroom instructions.

Rajan Zed, director of public affairs of Hindu temple of northern Nevada, and a Hindu priest will teach students about the different aspects of the ancient religion.

Hinduism is considered to be one of the oldest religions in the world. It is the third largest religion in the world, with approximately one billion followers.

There are around 1.5 million Hindus in the US.
