இந்துக்களின் உணர்வுகளை புண்படுத்தும் வரிகளையும் தஸ்லிமா நீக்கவேண்டும்- பாஜக

முஸ்லீம்கள் போராட்டம் செய்வதால், முஸ்லீம்கள் சொன்ன வரிகளை தஸ்லிமா எடுத்திருப்பதால், இந்துக்கள் மனம் புண்படும் வகையில் எழுதப்பட்ட வரிகளையும் தஸ்லிமா நீக்கலாமே என்று மேற்கு வங்க பாஜக தலைவர் கேட்டுள்ளார்.

அந்த வரிகளை நீக்கவில்லை என்றாலும் அவர் மேற்கு வங்கத்துக்கு வர அனுமதிக்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்று அவர் கூறியுள்ளார்

KOLKATA: BJP on Friday urged Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen to withdraw references from her two books - Lajya and Nirbachita Column - which had hurt Hindu sentiments.

"Since she has withdrawn her controversial pages from her book Dwikhontito , as it hurt the sentiments of Muslims, we appeal to her to withdraw references which have hurt Hindu sentiments," West Bengal BJP genral secretary Rahul Sinha said.

He, however, said that BJP would still demand that Taslima should be brought back to the state, even if she did not withdraw the references.

Earlier, the BJP Mahila Morcha launched a signature campaign to demand that the writer be brought back honourably.

Sinha, who gave the first signature said the Morcha would secure five lakh signatures and send it to President Pratibha Patil.

"The silence maintained by main opposition parties in the state after the way she was hounded out made it clear there is no difference between them and CPM on the question of communalism," he added.
