By Lois Price: A man who sexually abused two boys at a mosque in Stoke-on-Trent has been jailed for a minimum of eight years.
Mohammed Hanif Khan, 46, was the imam at the mosque in Capper Street, Tunstall, when the crimes happened in 2009.
He was found guilty of two counts of rape and one count of sexual activity with a child and was sentenced earlier today (March 18).
A judge at Nottingham Crown Court ruled he will serve at least eight years in prison.
DI Tim Martin, who led the investigation, said: “We welcome today’s sentencing and hope it brings some closure to the victims and their families.”
