St. Louis – A priest from St. Raphael the Archangel church in St. Louis, Father James Patrick Grady, has been accused of trying to solicit sex from a 16 year old girl.
He has been charged with attempted sex trafficking of children.
The United States Attorney’s offices are reporting that Grady responded to an advertisement placed on the Internet by undercover agents and started communicating with someone who he thought was 16 years old. However, he was really communicating with agents.
After contacting the ad Grady sent multiple emails regarding 2 females, received “doctored” photos from police, asked about a price, and then stated he wanted to buy their services knowing the girls were underage.
Grady wanted a massage but later changed that to kissing and sexual acts. When it was time to meet the females Grady was instead arrested by the FBI.
When Grady was arrested police discovered he was a priest at St. Raphael the Archangel church and had worked their since 2005. He has been suspended pending the outcome of this investigation. There have been no other allegations at this time.
