Pandemonium hit the city of Sapele in Delta State following a bomb blast at the main mosque yesterday, which injured a lot of persons.
The explosion, which occurred early in the morning, caused tension as residents, who were gripped with fear, deserted the Boma city in droves.
Sunday Sun gathered that one of the most affected victims identified as Tanko Musu, was rushed to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital after being denied treatment at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, Oghara.

Cause of the bomb blast was not immediately known, but report said it was not unconnected with the friction among Muslim worshippers at the mosque.
A dependable source told Sunday Sun that there had been disagreement on the mode of worship at the mosque when a new Imam introduced preaching in Hausa, Arabic and English languages, a situation a section of the worshippers opposed, insisting that preaching in Arabic must be adhered to. An eye-witness said the bomb was thrown into the mosque by two passers-by, thus causing a loud noise that damaged the mosque.

Efforts to see the interior of the mosque proved abortive as tension pervaded the area.
Sunday Sun learnt from the Hausa Seriki that he was waiting for the arrival of the commissioner of police to brief him on the incident.
Meanwhile, a lot of Muslim worshippers have gone into hiding for fear of being apprehended by the police.
