இறைதூதர் என்று சொல்லிகொண்ட அரபியர் கைது!

Man claims to be 'God’s minister on earth'

Arab man arrested and faces prosecution for sacrilege

Dubai prosecution is questioning an Arab man who claimed to be “God’s minister on earth” during an argument with another person at a fun centre in the emirate, the press said on Saturday.
The unnamed defendant confessed to saying that remark and other anti-religion comments but said they were inadvertent remarks on the grounds he is suffering from mental problems.
“He was surfing the internet at a fun centre in Hor Al Anz when he had an argument with another person…he then said to him ‘I am God’s minister on earth,” Deira prosecutor Yousuf Fouladh told the Arabic language daily 'Emarat Al Youm'.
Fouladh said the man had submitted a medical report showing schizophrenic problems but added that he would be referred to a local medical centre to verify his mental condition.
“In case his mental disorder is confirmed, then the case will be dropped but there will be preventive measures such as subjecting him to treatment,” he said.
According to the paper, persons offending religion in the UAE face prison and/or fine while serious insults involve penalties of up to 10 years in jail.
