Hyderabad, Aug. 8 (PTI): Suspected Maoists today set off a landmine injuring two Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation employees at Sileru in Visakhapatnam district, police said.

The blast was to protest arrest of tribals in the area who were in police custody on the charges of providing shelter and extending help to Maoists, police said.

The extremists also attacked a check-post and set afire its records. While fleeing from the scene, they left a letter demanding the release of the tribals from police custody, they added.

திருவனந்தபுரம்: கோவை தொடர் குண்டு வெடிப்பில் குற்றம் சாட்டப்பட்டு, கடந்த ஒன்பது ஆண்டுகளாக கோவை சிறையில் இருந்த அப்துல் நாசர் மதானி விடுவிக்கப்பட்டது மகிழ்ச்சி அளிக்கிறது என்று கேரள முதல்வர் அச்சுதானந்தன் தெரிவித்தார்.
கோவை தொடர் குண்டு வெடிப்பு வழக்கில் நேற்று தீர்ப்பு கூறப்பட்டது. இவ்வழக்கில் குற்றம் சாட்டப்பட்டு கடந்த ஒன்பது ஆண்டுகளாக சிறையில் இருந்த,கேரள மக்கள் ஜனநாயகக் கட்சித் தலைவர் அப்துல் நாசர் மதானி நேற்று விடுவிக்கப்பட்டார்.


இவர் மீதான குற்றச்சாட்டுகள் நிரூபிக்கப்படவில்லை என்று கோர்ட்டில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டது. மதானி விடுதலை செய்யப்பட்டது மகிழ்ச்சியளிப்பதாக கேரள முதல்வர் அச்சுதானந்தன் கூறினார். அவர் மேலும் கூறுகையில், ""ஆளும் இடதுசாரி ஜனநாயக முன்னணியுடன் மதானி சேர்க்கப்படுவது குறித்து தற்போது கூற முடியாது. கேரளாவில் அவர் மீது சுமத்தப்பட்டுள்ள குற்றச்சாட்டுகள் மிகவும் சாதாரணமானவை,'' என்று கூறினார்.

மதானி கேரளாவிற்கு செல்லும் போது அவருக்கு பாதுகாப்பு அளிக்க உத்தரவிடப்பட்டுள்ளதாக அம்மாநில உள்துறை அமைச்சர் கோடியேறி பாலகிருஷ்ணன் தெரிவித்தார். பா.ஜ., பொதுச் செயலர் ரமேஷ் கூறுகையில், ""அரசு தரப்பு வக்கீல் சுமத்திய குற்றச்சாட்டுகளை, சரியாக நிரூபிக்க தமிழக போலீசார் தவறி விட்டனர்,'' என்று கூறினார். கோவை குண்டுவெடிப்பு வழக்கிலிருந்து மதானி விடுவிக்கப்பட்டதை கொண்டாடும் விதமாக, கேரள மக்கள் ஜனநாயக கட்சியினர் பல்வேறு இடங்களில் பேரணிகளை நடத்தினர். பல இடங்களில் குழந்தைகளுக்கு இனிப்புகள் வழங்கப்பட்டன.

Dibrugarh, July 1: Screaming ambulance and police sirens and the groans of the injured and the dying gave way to chilling silence in blast-scarred Tinsukia today. In their silence, residents of the town spoke a thousand words against violence.

Not a word, not even the sound of muffled tears, was audible as hundreds escorted Krishna Das’s body through the streets of the town this morning.

Das, a fish merchant, died in yesterday’s twin blasts in Tinsukia that killed another person and left several injured. Another person died in a third blast in a market in Doomdooma, a part of Tinsukia district.

Boiling in anger and protest, residents of Tinsukia could not find words to condemn Ulfa for the blast and the government for failing to protect innocent lives. The silent procession was all they could manage.

Of the injured, 17 have been shifted to Assam Medical College and Hospital for further treatment.

Ministers Pradyut Bordoloi and Prithibi Majhi visited the medical college today.

They assured relatives of those injured that the government would bear all expenses of their treatment and if required they would be sent for specialised treatment outside the state.

“The condition of four remains critical. They have serious burn injuries which can turn fatal at any point of time. Our doctors are trying their best and there is no dearth of medicines,” said Nripen Gogoi, the superintendent of the medical college.

Among the injured, are two sisters — 18-year-old Jaya Sarma and 16-year-old Andri — who were at Doomdooma market when the bomb went off.

The sisters — Andri has just taken admission into Standard XI at ARC Kendriya Vidyalaya, Doomdooma, and Jaya to first year science stream in Tinsukia College — had gone to a tailor to get their uniforms sewn.

Andri’s left elbow had to be amputated since it bore the maximum burn and could become life-threatening.

The sisters were supposed to attend classes from tomorrow.

State BJP president Ramen Deka visited Doomdooma and met family members of Ramesh Thakur, a 20-year-old barber who was the lone victim of the blast at Doomdooma last evening.

The state government has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 3 00,000 each to the next of kin of those killed.

Security has been beefed up — as is routinely done after every blast.

Contingents of central forces had been deployed in sensitive areas. Both Tinsukia and Doomdooma town wore a deserted look as traders chose to keep their shutters down.

“We have picked up seven persons as a preventive step so that there is no trouble and violence in Tinsukia town,” Tinsukia deputy superintendent of police (headquarters) Sujit Thakur said.

தேனி: தேனி மாவட்டம் பெரியகுளம் அருகே காட்டுப் பகுதியில் 3 நக்சலைட்டுகள் சிக்கிய வழக்கு கியூ பிரிவுக்கு மாற்றப்பட்டுள்ளது. கைதான 3 பேரையும் சென்னைக்கு அழைத்துச் சென்று தீவிர விசாரணை நடத்த கியூ பிரிவு போலீஸார் தீர்மானித்துள்ளனர்.

பெரியகுளம் அருகே காட்டுப் பகுதியில் நேற்று 3 நக்சலைட்டுகள் பிடிபட்டனர். முத்துச் செல்வம், வேல்முருகன், பழனிவேல் ஆகிய அந்த மூன்று பேரையும் கைது செய்த போலீஸார், அவர்களிடமிருந்து டெட்டனேட்டர்கள், துப்பாக்கிகள் உள்ளிட்ட ஆயுதங்களை பறிமுதல் செய்தனர்.

அவர்களிடம் நடத்திய விசாரணையில் கிட்டத்தட்ட 40 நாட்களுக்கும் மேலாக கொடைக்கானல் மலைப்பகுதியில், ஆயுதப் பயிற்சி மேற்கொண்டதாக தகவல் தெரிய வந்தது. கொடைக்கானலில் இவர்களுக்குப் பயிற்சி அளித்து வந்த சேகர் உள்ளிட்ட இருவர் தலைமறைவாகி விட்டனர்.

அவர்களையும் சேர்த்து மொத்தமாக 7 பேரை போலீஸார் தேடி வருகின்றனர். பெரும் நாச வேலையில், ஈடுபடும் திட்டத்துடன்தான் இந்த ஆயுதப் பயிற்சியில், இவர்கள் ஈடுபட்டதாக போலீஸ் விசாரணையில் தெரிய வந்தது.

இந்த வழக்கு தற்போது கியூ பிரிவுக்கு மாற்றப்பட்டுள்ளது. கைதான 3 பேரையும் சென்னைக்கு அழைத்துச் சென்று தீவிரமாக விசாரிக்க போலீஸார் திட்டமிட்டுள்ளனர்.

இந்த நிலையில் 3 நக்சலைட்டுகள் பிடிபட்ட காட்டுப் பகுதியில் இன்று போலீஸார் தீவிரமாக சோதனை நடத்தினர். அப்போது தனியார் ஒருவருக்குச் சொந்தமான பூத் தோட்டத்தில் 2 துப்பாக்கிகள் கிடப்பதாக போலீஸாருக்குத் தகவல் கிடைத்தது.

இதையடுத்து போலீஸார் அங்கு சென்று துப்பாக்கிகளைப் பறிமுதல் செய்தனர். போலீஸ் பிடியிலிருந்து தப்பிச் சென்ற நக்சலைட்டுகள் போட்டு விட்டுச் சென்ற துப்பாக்கிகள்தான் இவை என்பது விசாரணையில் தெரிய வந்தது.

அந்தப் பகுதியை மேலும் தீவிரமாக ஆய்வு செய்து மேலும் ஆயுதங்கள் இருக்கிறதா என்பதை அறிய போலீஸார் திட்டமிட்டுள்ளனர். இதனால் அந்த பூத்தோட்டம் சுற்றி வளைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

தற்போது பிடிபட்டுள்ள நக்சலைட்டுகள் தமிழகம் முழுவதும் உள்ள பொறியியல், சட்டம், பாலிடெக்னிக் படிப்பை முடித்து விட்டு வேலையில்லாமல் இருக்கும் இளைஞர்களை தங்கள் பக்கம் இழுத்து புதிய படை ஒன்றை அமைக்கத் திட்டமிட்டிருந்ததும் தற்போது தெரிய வந்துள்ளது.

தங்களது அமைப்புக்கு மக்கள் போர்ப்படை என்ற பெயரையும் இவர்கள் சூட்டியுள்ளனர். இந்த படையில் தற்போது 600 பேர் உறுப்பினர்களாக உள்ளதும் தெரிய வந்துள்ளது.

தர்மபுரி உள்ளிட்ட நக்சலைட்டுகள் நடமாட்டம் அதிகம் உள்ள பகுதிகளில் தற்போது போலீஸ் கெடுபிடி அதிகம் இருப்பதால், தென் மாவட்டங்களில் தங்களது ஆயுதப் பயிற்சியை மேற்கொள்ள முடிவு செய்து கொடைக்கானல் மற்றும் தேனி மாவட்ட மலைப் பகுதிகளை தேர்ந்தெடுத்துள்ளது இந்தக் கும்பல்.

இந்தக் கும்பலுக்கு முக்கிய கட்சி ஒன்றின் தலைவர் நிதியுதவி செய்து வருவதாகவும் கைதானவர்கள் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர். அந்தத் தலைவரின் பெயரைக் கேட்டதும் அதிர்ச்சி அடைந்த போலீஸார் உயர் அதிகாரிகளுக்கு இந்தத் தகவலை தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.

தற்போது சிறையில் அடைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள 3 பேரையும் போலீஸ் காவலில் எடுத்து சென்னைக்கு எடுத்துச் சென்று தீவிரமாக விசாரிக்கும்போது மேலும் பரபரப்பான தகவல்கள் கிடைக்கலாம் என போலீஸார் எதிர்பார்க்கிறார்கள்.

பெரியகுளம்: பெரியகுளம் அருகே வனப்பகுதியில் நாட்டு வெடிகுண்டுகள், துப்பாக்கிகளுடன் பதுங்கியிருந்த 3 வாலிபர்களை போலீஸார் கைது செய்தனர். நக்சலைட் மற்றும் தீவிரவாத அமைப்புகளுடன் இணைந்து அவர்கள் தமிழ்நாட்டில் பெரும் நாச வேலையில் ஈடுபடத் திட்டமிட்டிருந்தது விசாரணையில் தெரிய வந்துள்ளது.

பெரியகுளம் அருகே இ.புதுக்கோட்டை கரட்டு என்ற இடத்தில் வனப் பகுதியில் சிலர் தங்கியிருப்பதாக போலீஸாரிடம் விறகு பொறுக்கச் சென்றவர்கள் தெரிவித்தனர். அவர்களின் நடவடிக்கை சந்தேகத்திற்கு இடமாக இருப்பதாகவும் கூறினர்.

இதையடுத்து போலீஸார் துரிதமாக நடவடிக்கையில் இறங்கினர். நூற்றுக்கும் மேற்பட்ட போலீஸார் துப்பாக்கி சகிதம் அந்தப் பகுதியை முற்றுகையிட்டனர். பொதுமக்களும் திரண்டு வந்தனர்.

போலீஸாரையும், பொதுமக்களையும் பார்த்த அந்த நபர்கள் அங்கிருந்து ஓட முயன்றனர். ஆனால் போலீஸாரும், பொதுமக்களும் சுற்றி வளைத்ததில் 3 இளைஞர்கள் சிக்கினர். 6 பேர் தப்பி விட்டனர்.

சிக்கியவர்கள் தங்கியிருந்த இடத்தைப் பார்த்தபோது அங்கு சமையல் பாத்திரங்கள், ஜமுக்காளம் போன்றவை இருந்தன. அவர்களிடம் ஏராளமான துப்பாக்கிகளும் இருந்தன. அவற்றைப் போலீஸார் பறிமுதல் செய்தனர்.

இதுதவிர தரைக்குள் நூற்றுக்கணக்கான டெட்டனேட்டர்கள், கையெறி குண்டுகள், நாட்டு வெடிகுண்டுகளையும் அவர்கள் பதுக்கி வைத்திருந்தனர். அவையும் பறிமுதல் செய்யப்பட்டது.

பிடிபட்டவர்களில் ஒருவர் பெயர் வேல்முருகன். இவர் இ.புதுக்கோட்டையைச் சேர்ந்தவர், மதுரை சட்டக் கல்லூரியில் படித்து வருகிறார். இன்னொருவர் பழனிவேல். இவர் சேலம் மாவட்டம் சின்னூரைச் சேர்ந்தவர். மூன்றாவது நபர் முத்துச் செல்வம். இவர் மதுரை, சமயநல்லூரைச் சேர்ந்தவர்.

இவர்களிடம் தொடர்ந்து விசாரணை செய்தபோது, தர்மபுரியில் செயல்படும் மக்கள் போர் படை இயக்கத்தை சேர்ந்தவர்கள் என்பது தெரியவந்தது. இவர்கள் ஏற்கனவே கொடைக்கானல் பகுதியில் ஒரு மாதமாக ஆயத பயிற்சி எடுத்துள்ளனர். இதையடுத்து போலீஸ் படை அவருடன் கொடைக்கானல் விரைந்தது.

அங்கு பண்ணைக்காடு கஸ்தூரிபாய்புரத்தில் உள்ள துரைராஜ் என்பவருக்குச் சொந்தமான வீடு ஒன்றில் வாடகைக்கு இருந்து வரும் சுரேஷ் மற்றும் சேகர் என்பவரைப் பிடிக்க போலீஸார் சென்றனர். ஆனால் அவர்கள் இருவரும் சிக்கவில்லை.

அவர்கள் தங்கியிருந்த வீட்டை சோதனையிட்டபோது, நக்சலைட் அமைப்பின் துண்டுப் பிரசுரங்களும், லெனின் குறித்த புத்தகமும் கிடைத்தன. இவர்கள் இருவரும்தான் நக்சலைட் அமைப்புக்கு ஆள் சேர்த்திருக்க வேண்டும் என்று போலீஸார் சந்தேகிக்கின்றனர்.

மக்கள் விடுதலை இயக்கத்தில் ஏராளமான மாணவர்கள் இருப்பதாக போலீஸார் சந்தேகிக்கின்றனர்.

தேனி, திண்டுக்கல், மதுரை பகுதியில் இவர்கள் ரகசியமாக செயல்பட்டு வருவதாகவும் கூறப்படுகிறது.இப்போது ஆயுத பயிற்சிக்காக பெரியகுளம் பகுதிக்கு வந்துள்ளனர். அதற்காக ஏராளமான வெடிகுண்டுகளையும், துப்பாக்கிகளையும் பதுக்கி வைத்துள்ளனர்.

நக்சலைட் அமைப்பைச் சேர்ந்த சிலர் பெரியகுளத்தில் பிடிபட்டிருப்பது மதுரை, திண்டுக்கல் சரக போலீஸாருக்கு பெரும் அதிர்ச்சியை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது. தேனி சரக டிஐஜி நந்தகோபாலன் விரைந்து வந்து விசாரணை மேற்கொண்டுள்ளார். அதேபோல சென்னையிலிருந்து கியூ பிரிவு எஸ்.பி. அசோக்குமாரும் பெரியகுளம் வந்துள்ளார்.

பெரியகுளம் தோட்டக் கலைக் கல்லூரிக்கு அருகில்தான் இந்த 3 பேரும் பிடிபட்ட வனப்பகுதி உள்ளது. நேற்று இலங்கை விவசாய அமைச்சர் பெர்னாண்டோ இந்தக் கல்லூரிக்கு வந்தார். எனவே இவர்கள் இலங்கை அமைச்சரைக் கொல்லும் திட்டத்துடன் அங்கு பதுங்கியிருந்தார்களா என்பது குறித்தும் போலீஸார் தீவிரமாக விசாரித்து வருகின்றனர்.

ஆந்திர நக்சல்களுடன் தொடர்பு

பிடிபட்ட 3 பேரிடமும் போலீஸார் தீவிர விசாரணை நடத்தியதில் பல திடுக்கிடும் தகவல்கள் கிடைத்தன. இவர்கள் நக்சலைட் கும்பலுடன் இணைந்து தமிழகத்தில் நாசவேலைகளை செய்ய திட்டம் தீட்டியிருப்பது தெரிய வந்தது.

இந்தக் கும்பலுக்கும், ஆந்திர நக்சலைட்டுகளுக்கும் ரகசிய தொடர்பும் உள்ளது. அங்கிருந்து பணம் மற்றும் ஆயுதங்களும் அனுப்பப்பட்டுள்ளன.

இதுதவிர வேறு சில தீவிரவாத அமைப்புடனும் இந்தக் கும்பலுக்குத் தொடர்பு இருப்பதும் தெரிய வந்துள்ளது. இந்த கும்பலுக்கு தலைவனாக சென்னையை சேர்ந்த ராஜா என்பவர் செயல்பட்டுள்ளார். போலீஸார் மலையை சுற்றி வளைத்தபோது இவர் தப்பி விட்டார்.

தப்பிச் சென்ற ராஜா உள்ளிட்ட 6 பேரும் அவர்கள் மதுரை அல்லது சின்னமனூரில் பதுங்கியிருக்க கூடும் என போலீஸார் கருதுகின்றனர். கியூ பிரிவு போலீஸார் அவர்களை பிடிக்க தீவிர தேடுதல் வேட்டையை தொடங்கியுள்ளனர். உளவுத்துறை போலீஸாரும் கண்காணித்து வருகின்றனர்.

நக்சலைட் கும்பல், தமிழ்நாட்டில் பல்வேறு நாசவேலை செய்ய திட்டமிட்டிருப்பது தெரிய வந்திருப்பதால் தமிழகம் முழுவதும் போலீஸார் உஷார் படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.

கைது செய்யப்பட்ட 3 பேரையும் பெரியகுளம் குற்றவியல் நீதிபதி சிங்கராஜ் வீட்டில் போலீஸார் ஆஜர்படுத்தினர். அவர்களை ஜூலை 11ம் தேதி வரை காவலில் வைக்க நீதிபதி உத்தரவிட்டார். பின்னர் 3 பேரும மருத்துவப் பரிசோதனைக்கு உட்படுத்தப்பட்டனர். அதன் பின்னர் மதுரை மத்திய சிறையில் அடைக்கப்பட்டனர்.

ஒரிஸ்ஸாவில், மாவோயிஸ்டு அசுரர்கள் வெடிகுண்டு வெடித்து சாலையை உடைத்தனர்.

ஒரிஸ்ஸாவின் மீதான பொருளாதார தடையை விதிப்பதற்காக ஒரிஸ்ஸாவின் முக்கிய ரோட்டில் வெடிகுண்டு வெடித்தனர். கிராமங்களுக்கு போகும் சாலைகளை மரங்களை வெட்டி போட்டு போக்குவரத்தை நிறுத்தினர்.

Maoists trigger blast, block roads

Bhubaneswar, June 26: Maoist guerrillas set off a blast and blocked roads in Orissa Tuesday as part of a two-day "economic blockade" in the state.

The explosion near the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd telecom tower in Malkangiri district, some 640 km from here, early Tuesday did not cause any damage, police said.

The Maoists, who began the blockade at midnight Monday, are protesting against the formation of special economic zones (SEZs) in the country.

They also blocked roads leading to Kalimela, Motu and other villages in the same district by placing wooden logs and huge boulders on the roads.

இவர்கள் தேர்தலில் நின்று ஜெயிக்க வக்கில்லாதவர்கள்.மக்கள் ஆதரவு இல்லாதவர்கள். சீன அரசாங்கம் கொடுக்கும் ஆயுதங்களை வைத்துக்கொண்டு பொதுமக்களை கடத்திச்சென்று ஆள்படை அமைப்பவர்கள். உள்ளுக்குள்ளேயே பிரிந்து ஒருவரை ஒருவர் சுட்டு கொண்டு பொதுமக்களையும் கொல்பவர்கள்.

இவர்களது தொல்லை தாங்க முடியாததால், இவர்களை அரசாங்கத்தில் இணைத்தார்கள். இருந்தாலும் தொல்லை அதிகரித்துவிட்டதுதான் விளைவே தவிர பிரச்னை தீரவில்லை.

Nepal Town Closed After Blast Kills Ethnic Indian

Monday 25th of June 2007 An ethnic Indian was killed in Nepal's turbulent Terai plains in a bomb blast hours after the government announced a fresh election date and said it had full confidence the security situation would improve.

Arun Jaiswal, in his 40s, was killed Sunday night when a bomb went off in Malangawa, the main town in Sarlahi district in the Terai plains.

The bomb was planted near a temple, police said. Till Monday morning, no one had claimed responsibility for the blast. An unnamed man was arrested during search operations and he was said to be carrying a firearm.

Angry residents shut down Malangawa town, demanding that the culprits be brought to book. Schools and markets remained closed while transport had thinned visibly.

The death comes even as four other districts in the Terai - Saptari, Sunsari, Morang and Udaypur - remained paralysed following a closure called by the Maoists.

The rebels called a three-day shutdown in Saptari and an indefinite closure in the other three districts from Sunday to protest against the killing of one of their local leaders.

Govinda Chaudhari was killed Saturday by the Janatatrik Terai Mukti Morcha, a band of former Maoists who broke away from the parent party to wage a separate armed struggle in the plains.

This month alone, six Maoists have been killed in Terai.

Since this year, shutdowns, abductions, extortions and killings have become commonplace occurrence in the Terai where at least nine armed groups are said to be becoming increasingly active.

The government could not hold the constituent assembly election on June 20 due to the worsening security situation, especially in the Terai. Since this year, nearly 90 people have been killed in the Terai.

On Sunday, the government announced the stalled election would now be held on Nov 22.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala met Sudhindra Bhadoriya, chairman of the South Asian Forum for Peoples Initiatives (SAFPI) here and told him arrangements were being made to beef up security to ensure a free and fair poll.

June 23: The north-eastern state Assam is getting blood-spattered with constant attack from ULFA. Today another bomb explosion in Guwahati killed five and injured 20 others.

Reportedly, a bomb blast at around 7.30 am in the morning near a mosque in the busy Machkhowa market place of Guwahati. The explosion was so powerful that it leaves five persons dead on the spot including two children. Another twenty are injured and have been rushed to the nearby Guwahati Medical College Hospital hospital.

According to police officials, the bomb was concealed in a cycle that was parked near the mosque. Police report has confirmed the hand of United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) as they are constantly involved in such attacks in the past.

Security has been tightened across the state following the attack and extra security measures have taken at the Indira Gandhi Athletics Stadium where the Asian Athletics Grand Prix is scheduled to start from today.

Even though, the government of India has banned ULFA as a terrorist organization but considering itself as a revolutionary terrorist organization the militant outfit is fighting for an independent Assam state.

ULFA is constantly attacking non-Assamese especially Hindi speaking people and have exploded more than 25 bombs from January of this year that have killed over hundred civilians. Though the central government has been taking various measures but that has so far no effective result in the state.
